In choosing to take an action, we are also choosing the outcome — or, at least, we are choosing a set of possible outcomes. So, yes, in a sense, we control the outcome by first making the choice to act. Not taking said action also controls outcome by creating new possible outcomes based on inaction …
We may not have 100% control over outcome, because “fate” can intervene … i.e. fall and break a leg, but, choosing to take an action, we hope to achieve a certain outcome … just because we didn’t achieve the outcome doesn’t mean we don’t have control … it means we didn’t think through all the possible outcomes.
Very thought provoking, Geo…is it okay to call you Geo or do you prefer Geo Sans? I like to get names right! Lauren :)
Thanks Lauren for your comment.
Geo is fine.
You’re welcome and great to know! :)
I believe that we are both – ‘you create your own reality’.

I agree with the comment above … I think we can, and are, both…
often
we try dictate
our own fate …

I don’t think
we can
absolutely control
the outcome
of all our actions ?
