I don’t know my friend…My father was a creative “Mad Man”. I grew up in advertising. He would bring home sample books of paper…like riches from the Orient. He also told he’d “Break my fingers if I picked up a pencil”
We’re all aware of the hype. It’s a reality …so let’s just use it for something worthwhile.
I totally understand…I saw what it did to my father working in that madness. I was conflicted for years growing up with the knowledge of subliminal cuts.
But there is a difference between working for an industry and using your skills to communicate. It’s not a mask unless one is dishonest.
This is where the deep work comes in….for everyone. ! xxoo
I remember when I was 11 I was put in an advanced class to look at truth in advertising, once a week, for 3 months. Thank goodness I did it young, it paved the way for my need to find truth in all things and disbelieve the hype. Although we are never truly immune to the ideology of a greater life regardless of the means.
